Unico Highland Beach

UNICO Highland Beach is a dedicated service organization based in Delray Beach, FL, committed to making a meaningful difference in the local community and beyond. As a chapter of UNICO National, the largest Italian American service organization in the United States, the Highland Beach chapter was officially chartered on November 11, 2014, and operates under the core principles of Unity, Neighborliness, Integrity, Charity, and Opportunity. The organization focuses on charitable works, higher education support through scholarships, and patriotic service. Each year, UNICO chapters donate approximately one million dollars to various charities, with roughly one-third of all funds raised dedicated to scholarships for deserving students. The Highland Beach chapter actively participates in disaster relief efforts, supports medical research initiatives including Cooley's Anemia and mental health programs, and maintains partnerships with organizations like the Jimmy Valvano Foundation to advance cancer research. Beyond financial contributions, UNICO Highland Beach organizes regular dinner meetings, cultural events celebrating Italian heritage, and community gatherings that foster engagement and connection among members. The organization also takes a leadership position in combating negative stereotypes and promoting positive representation of Italian Americans in media and society.
